Amit Shelar has made up his mind right from his student days to heal the bitter wounds of our society that cause social inequality and injustice in Indian society. He has got more dynamism, having associated himself actively in various social activities where he got the spirit of social transformation and got acquainted with various problems and issues faced by the youth of India today .
The main aim of his efforts is to establish a wide-based community movement which encourages the positive involvement of young people in solving issues which affect them, treating them as resources,not as problems.

Shri. Amit Shelar is a big supporter of women’s upliftment. As a Social Worker and a Founder of Smile Deliver Foundation, he directed several initiatives for creating a positive social attitude towards the girl child education, improving the socio-economic security and condition of women and their health and well-being.
He also started various social initiatives for education and betterment of underprivileged children of below poverty line strata of society and supported them in having proper employment helping them to be financial independent.
A firm believer in inclusive growth for all, Shri. Amit Shelar has been striving to create an empowered society by focusing on providing better education facilities, providing better employment opportunities to the city’s youth. He has also been actively engaged in activities for upliftment of scheduled castes,slums rehabilitation , fight for injustice and promoting social harmony.
At present he is associated with Smile Deliver Foundation which is a Mumbai based non-profit organization with a mission to empower women, girls & children of India who are under privileged or helpless, to fight for their fundamental rights like everyone. Being born in a simple middle class Indian Family, he has strong roots and moral values deep rooted in him. He is passionately involved in various social causes and strive to work in future for the development of the society and country in large. His devotion to social work and focus on fulfilling local community needs is commendable.
The Chemical Engineer turned social worker and now youth leader provides a strong leadership to BJYM.Having the belief in his vision many of the organization’s supporters &volunteers works under his guidance. In single word he is humanitarian and we are really proud to work under his leadership to the organization.
Married to Smt.Mayuri Shelar, Shri. Amit Shelar a father of a beautiful daughter, finds time to listen to his favourite songs and watch movies from his busy schedule. He takes a keen interest in technological updates and also have a inclination towards spirituality. He enjoys having discussions with like-minded people and friends. A sports buff, he enjoys playing cricket, volleyball and badminton.
